Best ZoomInfo Alternatives in 2026 for Teams That Will Not Sign a $30K Contract

9 ZoomInfo alternatives for 2026, priced beside ZoomInfo's $33,500 median contract and mapped to the module you use, plus how to exit without a second year.

TL;DR: The best ZoomInfo alternative depends on which part of ZoomInfo you use. Apollo replaces the database and the sequencer for $49 to $119 a user per month. Cognism and SalesIntel replace the direct dials, at $17,600 to $32,750 a year on contract. Lusha, UpLead and Lead411 replace the database alone from free to $150 a month. Clay replaces enrichment for teams with a builder. None of them, ZoomInfo included, tells you which contact is buying this quarter. That's a separate layer, and it costs $99 a month. Below: ZoomInfo's real 2026 contract terms, nine alternatives mapped to the module they replace, when to stay, and how to leave without paying for a second year.

ZoomInfo told its investors in August that existing customers are spending 11% less than they did a year ago. Net revenue retention came in at 89% for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Every one of those customers found the door. Most of them found it 60 days before a renewal date, which is the only time the door is open.

You know the shape of the problem if you have looked at the quote. A platform fee near $15,000 before a single seat. Three seats minimum. Annual only. A clause on page two that renews the whole thing unless you write in first. The data is good. The contract is the product.

This guide to ZoomInfo alternatives takes a different route than the listicles ranking beside it. ZoomInfo is four purchases in one agreement, and most teams under 15 seats use one and a half of them. We price each alternative against the module it replaces, using Vendr's purchase data and a March 2026 quote, and we say plainly when ZoomInfo is still the right buy. We build a signal layer that sits on top of whichever database you choose, so we have a view. We keep it to one section at the end.

What You Are Actually Replacing When You Leave ZoomInfo

A ZoomInfo alternative is any tool that replaces one or more of the four things a ZoomInfo contract bundles: a B2B contact database, verified direct dials and mobiles, account-level intent data, and the workflow layer (Engage sequences, Copilot, and now agent orchestration). Pick the alternative by the module you use, not by the brand you are leaving.

That definition matters because the four modules have different replacement costs.

  • The contact database. 500 million contacts and 100 million companies, per ZoomInfo's About page. This is the easiest module to replace. Six vendors below sell a comparable database by the seat.
  • Direct dials and mobiles. 120 million direct dials, verified by a human research team. This is the hardest module to replace and the real reason enterprise teams renew. Two vendors below come close, and neither is cheap.
  • Account intent. Third-party topic intent, sold as an add-on. Replaceable by any of the intent data providers we compared, most of which ZoomInfo resells anyway.
  • The workflow layer. Engage for sequences, Copilot for research, and since 30 September 2026 the DoubleO.ai agent orchestration platform. Apollo and Clay replace the first two. Nobody needs to replace the third yet, because ZoomInfo has not priced it.

Before you read a single vendor card, answer one question. In the last 90 days, which of the four did your reps open? If the answer is "the database, to export lists", you're paying $33,500 for a $5,000 product. If the answer is "the dialer, every morning", read the Cognism and SalesIntel sections first and be honest about the trade.

What ZoomInfo Costs in 2026 (and the Clause That Keeps You There)

ZoomInfo publishes no price. Its pricing page lists Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise, defines a credit as one exported profile, and ends in a form. The numbers below come from two sources with their bias stated.

Vendr's marketplace data, updated February 2026 from 1,576 purchases, puts the median contract at $33,500 a year, with a range from $7,233 to $156,053 and an average 21.81% saving off the first quote. Vendr also notes that contracts "often include annual price escalation clauses, typically 5 to 10%". Vendr sells negotiation services, so it has a reason to make the first quote look high. The sample size makes the median hard to argue with.

Cleanlist's March 2026 quote fills in the structure Vendr leaves out. Cleanlist is a competing enrichment vendor, so treat the framing as hostile and the figures as a single data point.

ZoomInfo tier (per the March 2026 quote)Platform feePer seat per year5-seat total
Professional~$14,995$1,500~$22,495
Advanced~$24,995$2,500~$37,495
Elite$39,995+Custom$50,000+

Three terms sit underneath the table. A three-seat minimum on every tier. Overage credits at $1.10 each on Advanced. And a cancellation window of 60 days before the renewal date, 90 in some contracts, after which the agreement renews for another year at the escalated rate.

One more number belongs here because no other ZoomInfo alternatives page carries it. ZoomInfo's Q2 2026 results, filed 5 August 2026, report revenue of $310.4 million, up 1.2% year over year, and net revenue retention of 89%. ZoomInfo changed its ticker from ZI to GTM in May and bought DoubleO.ai in September to sell agents on top of the database. The customer base is shrinking its spend while the product gets bigger. That's the context for every price below.

Marcus runs a five-rep fintech sales team in Austin. His Advanced contract came to $37,000 in 2025. In February 2026 he decided to move to Apollo, opened the agreement to find the notice period, and read that written notice was due 60 days before the 15 March renewal. It was 2 February. The contract renewed at $42,500. He is leaving in March 2027, and this time the calendar reminder is set for December.

Have a renewal date in the next six months? Run a free signal check on your last ZoomInfo export before you decide what to replace it with. If fewer than 5% of the contacts show a buying signal, the database was never the constraint.

The 9 Best ZoomInfo Alternatives in 2026 at a Glance

Prices are per user per month unless noted and were checked on 7 October 2026. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the figure is a Vendr median or a range from at least two independent 2026 reviews, and the table says so.

The last row is what we build. It is there because the right way to use Getcleed is on an export from one of the other eight, and because the question it answers is the one ZoomInfo's four modules do not. We make that case in its own section and keep it out of the others.

How We Chose These ZoomInfo Alternatives

Four rules.

  • It has to replace a named module. Every tool above maps to the database, the dials, the intent or the workflow. We dropped 6sense and Demandbase, which page 1 lists, because they are ABM platforms at $55,000 to $130,000 a year. Nobody leaving a $30,000 contract to save money buys one. We dropped Instantly and Saleshandy because they are senders. They replace Engage, not ZoomInfo.
  • A real price, or an honest substitute. Six of nine publish one. For the three that do not, we used Vendr medians or ranges confirmed by two independent reviews, and we say which. Any "starting at" figure that hides a platform fee was ignored.
  • The trade-off is stated. Cheaper than ZoomInfo always costs something, usually direct dials. The table says what.
  • We disclose our interest. Getcleed is ours. It appears once in the table, once in its own section, and is scoped to the thing it does.

We did not weight G2 stars, integration counts or UI. Those take 30 minutes in a trial to judge yourself.

ZoomInfo Alternatives for the Contact Database

If your reps open ZoomInfo to build lists and export them, this is your section. Five tools, all self-serve, all monthly or annual by the seat.

Apollo.io: the default ZoomInfo alternative under 20 seats

Apollo replaces three of ZoomInfo's four modules in one tab: the database, the sequencer and the dialer. It got a new CEO in February 2026, bought the signals startup Pocus in March and shipped an "Intelligence Layer" in September.

Price. Basic $49 a user per month annual ($59 monthly), Professional $79 ($99), Organization $119 ($149) with a three-seat minimum on Organization only. Credits run 30,000, 48,000 and 72,000 a year, granted monthly, no rollover. The free tier gives unlimited email addresses and 900 credits a year.

The trade. Direct dials. In Cleanlist's March 2026 test on 1,000 leads, Apollo matched 78% of emails to ZoomInfo's 84% and 52% of direct dials to ZoomInfo's 71%. If your reps email, you won't feel it. If they call, you will.

Cost at five seats. Professional times five is $4,740 a year, against the $37,495 five-seat Advanced quote above. We did the seat-by-seat cost comparison at five and ten users, and ranked the best Apollo alternatives for teams that outgrow the credit model.

Lusha: the extension with a free tier

Lusha replaces the database for reps who prospect inside LinkedIn one profile at a time. Its pricing page was updated on 22 September 2026.

Price. Free with 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month for 400 credits, Professional $69.90 for 600, Premium $399.90 for 3,400. Annual plans run $449.10, $629.10 and $3,599.10. An email costs one credit and a phone costs five, which is the number that decides whether Lusha is cheap for you.

The trade. Nothing beyond the record. No sequencer, no intent, no company triggers. Lusha claims 98% email and 86% phone accuracy from its own July 2026 test of 322 US contacts, so read both as a ceiling.

UpLead: the bounce guarantee

UpLead replaces the database for US teams that have been burned by bounces. It verifies at export and refunds the credit if a verified email bounces.

Price. Essentials $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 on annual. Plus $199 for 400 credits, or $149 annual, adding technographics and suppression lists. Extra credits are $0.60.

The trade. Mobile coverage is thin, intent is a Bombora resale, and the California Privacy Protection Agency fined UpLead $34,400 in November 2024 for 172 days as an unregistered data broker. It has since registered.

Lead411: flat-price exports with company triggers

Lead411 replaces the database and a slice of the intent module for US mid-market teams. It re-verifies emails every three to six months, the only vendor here that addresses decay on a schedule.

Price. Spark $49 a month for 1,000 exports, or $490 a year for 12,000. Ignite $150 a month or $1,500 a year. Blaze is custom with unlimited exports.

The trade. US-centric data and company-level triggers only (funding, hiring, new locations). Person-level activity is outside its frame.

Seamless. AI: reach over precision, same notice trap

Seamless replaces the database for volume dialers. It calls itself a "real-time search engine", which means records are assembled when you search and the count and the bounce rate inflate together.

Price. The Basic tier was removed in 2026. Pro is quote-only with a five-seat minimum and a 12-month term; reviewers report $4,740 to $9,000 a year for five seats. Enterprise runs $20,000 to $100,000.

The trade. Independent reviews report 20% to 30% bounce rates, and reviewers flag a 60-day cancellation notice. If the ZoomInfo clause is why you are reading this, note that Seamless has the same one at a smaller price.

Priya is a founder selling payroll software to 50-to-500-person companies. Her 2025 ZoomInfo Professional contract was $31,000 for four seats, of which two reps used the export button and nothing else. In March 2026 she moved the team to Apollo Professional at $79 a seat and added a signal layer at $99 a month. New annual bill: about $4,980. Meetings per rep per month went from 5.1 in Q1 to 5.4 in Q3. The data was never what the meetings came from.

ZoomInfo Alternatives for Direct Dials and Compliance

If your reps open ZoomInfo to call, the five tools above will cost you connect rate. Two vendors replace the dials module properly. Neither is a bargain, and that is the honest answer.

Cognism: compliant mobiles for Europe

Cognism replaces the direct-dial module for UK and EU teams, and adds something ZoomInfo does not: a published compliance page with a notified database and do-not-call screening in 12 jurisdictions.

Price. No list price. Vendr's median is $32,750 a year with five seats included. Third-party guides put Standard from about $12,750 a year. Buyer reports describe a $15,000 to $25,000 platform fee plus $1,500 to $2,500 per seat, none of it vendor-confirmed.

The trade. Price. At five seats Cognism costs about what ZoomInfo Advanced costs. You are buying 87% mobile accuracy, validated by human callers, and a legal team that stops asking questions. If your reps call into Europe, that is the whole decision. If they do not, you have swapped one contract for another.

SalesIntel: human-verified dials under $20K

SalesIntel replaces the direct-dial module for US teams at roughly half the ZoomInfo median. It ranks first on page 1 for this query with a listicle that puts itself first, so we checked its price elsewhere.

Price. No list price. 2026 purchase data puts contracts at $8,670 to $41,380 a year with a median near $17,600, on unlimited-access plans sold per seat. Individual plans are reported from $69 to $99 a month.

The trade. A smaller, US-focused database, and it is still quote-gated with annual terms. The win is human-verified direct dials at a price a 10-rep team can approve without a procurement cycle.

ZoomInfo Alternatives for Workflow and Enrichment

If what you use is Copilot research and Engage sequences, Apollo above covers the sequences. For enrichment and research at scale, there is one serious ZoomInfo alternative and it comes with a job description.

Clay: enrichment for teams with a builder

Clay replaces the enrichment and research half of the workflow module. It isn't a database. It's a spreadsheet that calls 150+ providers in a waterfall and charges per call. Clay closed a $115 million Series D at a $7.1 billion valuation on 9 September 2026 and shipped its own sequencer eight days earlier.

Price. Per account, not per seat. Free with 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. Launch from $167 a month monthly or $54 on annual billing. Growth from $446 monthly or $185 annual. The monthly-versus-annual gap on Clay's pricing page is wider than the stated 10% discount, so check it in your own browser.

The trade. Someone has to build the tables, and the data underneath costs extra. If nobody on the team wants that job, the Clay alternatives that do not need a GTM engineer are the shorter path, and our Clay comparison covers what Clay's signals cost to run.

The ZoomInfo Alternative for the Question None of Them Answer

Every tool on this page, ZoomInfo included, answers two questions. Who exists in my market, and how do I reach them. The database answers the first. The dials answer the second. Intent data tries a third question at the account level and gets it right often enough to be worth a budget line.

The question that moves reply rate is the fourth one. Which of the 2,000 people in this export is buying this quarter?

Research puts about 5% of any market in a buying cycle at a given time, closer to 7% or 8% in software. We did the arithmetic in the 95-5 rule in B2B outbound: on a 2,000-contact export, roughly 100 to 150 people have a reason to reply and 1,850 do not, however accurate their direct dial is. A database gives you all 2,000 with equal confidence. That's its job.

Finding the 100 is a different job, and the evidence is public. A VP who started a new role six weeks ago. A company that posted four SDR openings. A director who commented on a competitor's launch last Tuesday. These are the LinkedIn buying signals that predict a purchase, and no contact database stores them because they are events, not fields, and they expire.

This is the layer Getcleed is. You keep whichever database you picked above. You export the list, or sync it from HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio. Getcleed reads each person's recent LinkedIn activity, scores them 0 to 100 against your ICP across 11+ signal types, writes a hook that references what they did, and rescores nightly so yesterday's cold contact surfaces when they post about switching tools.

Price. $129 a month, or $99 a month on annual, flat, for 1,000 leads analyzed. No per-seat multiplier, no three-seat minimum, no notice window. Seven-day free trial. Current numbers are on the pricing page.

The trade. It isn't a database. You still need one of the eight above, or a CSV. It reads behavior, not contact fields, so it will not give you a mobile number.

Ready to test it on your own list? Start a free trial, import your last ZoomInfo export, and sort it by relevance score. The top 10% is who to call this week. No credit card.

When ZoomInfo Is Still the Right Buy

A ZoomInfo alternatives page that never says "stay" is a sales page. Here's when to stay.

  • Your reps call at volume and the numbers connect. 120 million direct dials is a moat. In Cleanlist's test ZoomInfo matched 71% of direct dials against Apollo's 52%. On a 15-rep calling team, that gap is a rep's worth of connects a week.
  • Procurement wants one vendor and one invoice. Database, dials, intent, sequences, call recording and now agents under a single master agreement is worth something to a 200-person company. It's worth nothing to a five-person one.
  • You negotiated it properly. Vendr's 21.81% average saving and the $33,500 median are the anchors. If you've got a multi-year price lock, a 12-month exit clause and a credit-usage report before each renewal, the contract is a tool, not a trap.
  • You are already over 16 seats. At that size the platform fee amortizes and the per-seat cost of ZoomInfo Professional ($1,500 a year) is lower than Apollo Organization ($1,428 a year) plus the three tools you would bolt on to match the dials.

Dana leads a 20-rep SDR team at a logistics SaaS company. In 2025 she ran a three-month pilot moving six reps to a cheaper database while the other 14 stayed on ZoomInfo. The pilot group's connect rate on cold calls fell from 9.2% to 6.1%. She renewed ZoomInfo at $41,000, down from a $52,000 first quote, and spent the saving on a signal layer for the whole team. Right call. Her reps dial for a living.

How to Leave ZoomInfo Without Paying for Another Year

The renewal clause is the mechanism. Here's the sequence that beats it, in order.

  1. Find the renewal date and the notice window today. It's in the order form, not the master agreement. Put a reminder 100 days before renewal, not 60, so the decision is made before the window closes.
  2. Audit which modules you used. Pull 90 days of login and export data from the admin panel. Count reps who exported lists, reps who dialed from the platform, and reps who opened intent. The result picks your section above.
  3. Export everything before you send notice. Every saved list, every enriched account, every intent topic. Credits do not refund and access ends on the date, not after.
  4. Verify the export. Independent 2026 tests lose 13% to 22% of a fresh export to a verifier before a single email goes out, and CRM data decays at about 2.1% a month. A six-month-old ZoomInfo export is a six-month-old list, whoever sold it.
  5. Score the export for signals before you sequence it. The first month on the new tool is when the team is most likely to judge the switch a mistake. Start it with the 5% to 8% of the old list that showed a buying signal this week, not the whole file.
  6. Send written notice by the method the contract names. Email to the rep isn't notice if the agreement says the legal address. Keep the receipt.
  7. Negotiate the exit if you are inside the window. A shorter renewal, a seat reduction or a module drop is often available to a customer who can show a signed order with a competitor. The displacement playbook works in both directions.

If the replacement is a LinkedIn-first stack rather than a database, Sales Navigator alternatives covers that route. For the database-versus-signal-platform decision itself, the sales intelligence platforms pillar lays out the architecture split and what each side costs at five seats.

ZoomInfo Alternatives FAQ

What is the best ZoomInfo alternative in 2026?

Apollo.io for most teams under 20 seats, because it replaces the database, the sequencer and the dialer at $49 to $119 a user per month with a free tier and monthly billing. Cognism for UK and EU teams whose reps call mobiles. SalesIntel for US calling teams under $20,000 a year. Lusha for solo reps. The best ZoomInfo alternative is the one that replaces the module you actually use.

Is there a free ZoomInfo alternative?

Yes, for the database module. Apollo's free tier gives unlimited email addresses and 900 credits a year. Lusha gives 40 credits a month. Clay gives 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. None of the free tiers replaces direct dials or intent, and none is a free ZoomInfo alternative for a team of five.

How much does ZoomInfo cost in 2026?

ZoomInfo publishes no price. Vendr's median across 1,576 purchases is $33,500 a year, with a range from $7,233 to $156,053. A March 2026 quote put Professional near $14,995 plus $1,500 a seat, Advanced near $24,995 plus $2,500 a seat, and Elite from $39,995, all with a three-seat minimum and annual terms.

Which ZoomInfo competitors have direct dials as good as ZoomInfo?

Cognism and SalesIntel are the two with human-verified dials at comparable depth, and both are quote-only annual contracts. Cognism is the choice for Europe at a Vendr median of $32,750. SalesIntel is the choice for the US at a median near $17,600. Apollo matched 52% of direct dials to ZoomInfo's 71% in an independent 2026 test.

Can I cancel ZoomInfo early?

Not usually. Contracts are annual and auto-renew unless written notice is received 60 to 90 days before the renewal date, after which a 5% to 10% escalator typically applies. Customers inside the window have negotiated seat reductions and module drops by showing a competing signed order.

Is a cheaper alternative to ZoomInfo always a downgrade?

Only on direct dials. Independent tests put fresh-export email accuracy at 78% to 84% across the main vendors, a gap smaller than the one between a fresh list and a six-month-old one. If your reps email, a cheaper alternative to ZoomInfo costs you little. If they call, it costs you connects, and Cognism or SalesIntel is the answer.

The Bottom Line

  1. ZoomInfo is four modules on one annual contract with a median price of $33,500, a three-seat minimum, a 60-to-90-day notice window and a 5% to 10% escalator. Its own net revenue retention fell to 89% in Q2 2026.
  2. The best ZoomInfo alternative depends on which module you use. Apollo, Lusha, UpLead, Lead411 and Seamless replace the database from free to $150 a month. Cognism and SalesIntel replace the direct dials on contract. Clay replaces enrichment for teams with a builder.
  3. Stay on ZoomInfo if your reps call at volume, procurement wants one vendor, and you are over 16 seats with a negotiated exit clause.
  4. Leave by the calendar, not the quote. Find the notice window, audit module usage, export and verify everything, then send written notice the way the contract names.
  5. None of the nine, ZoomInfo included, tells you which contact is buying this quarter. That answer is in the public behavior of the people already on your list, and it's the cheapest line item on this page.

Export your last ZoomInfo list before the window closes. Then run a free signal check on it and see which 5% to 8% showed a buying signal this week. That's who to call first on whichever ZoomInfo alternative you pick, and no database could have told you which 5% it was.
