Best Data Enrichment Tools in 2026: 11 Tools Compared on Match Rate, Price, and Freshness
11 data enrichment tools for 2026 with dated prices, what a phone number costs in credits, independent match-rate tests, and which ones fight data decay.
TL;DR: The best data enrichment tools in 2026 work one of three ways. Clay, FullEnrich and Surfe cascade a lookup across 15 to 150+ providers and reach 75% to 90% email match on US enterprise contacts, from $55 a month. Apollo, ZoomInfo and Lusha look up one owned database each, at 78% to 84% email match in the only independent head-to-head, from $49 a seat to a $33,500 contract. Hunter, Prospeo, Findymail and Dropcontact find and verify emails one at a time, from $34 a month, and Hunter posted the highest accuracy of any single-source tool in a 5,000-record test. HubSpot's Breeze Intelligence does it inside the CRM on credits. A phone number costs 5 to 10 credits on every tool that sells them. Only three tools do anything about the 2.1% of your data that goes stale every month. And none of the 11 can tell you whether the person is buying. Below: all 11 priced on 8 October 2026, the match-rate evidence with the tester named, and the one column every other list skips.
A tool that claims 98% accuracy can be the worst data enrichment tool on this page. Accuracy is measured on the rows the tool found. If it found emails for 55% of your list, 98% of 55% is 54 deliverable emails per 100 names. A tool at 85% accuracy that finds 85% of rows gives you 72. The second tool is "less accurate" and gets you a third more conversations.
You already know the feeling of exporting 2,000 rows and watching the verifier strip a fifth of them. Most comparisons on this query never separate the two numbers, and most quote a "from $49" price without saying that a mobile number costs ten credits.
This guide compares 11 data enrichment tools on match rate and accuracy as separate columns, prices every one with a date on the check, works out what a phone number costs, and adds a column nobody else carries: what each tool does about decay. We build a signal tool that sits on top of enriched lists. It appears in one section near the end, where we say what it does not do.
What Are Data Enrichment Tools?
Data enrichment tools are software that takes a partial record, usually a name and a company or a LinkedIn URL, and fills in the missing fields: work email, direct dial or mobile, title, company size, industry, and technology stack. They work by querying one owned database, cascading the lookup across many providers, or finding and verifying the email pattern per contact.
The three models matter more than the brand names, because they predict the two numbers you care about. They are also the enrichment half of the database-versus-signal split that runs through every sales intelligence platform:
- Waterfall tools (Clay, FullEnrich, Surfe) try provider one, then provider two, until something hits. Highest match rate, and you pay for every attempt that lands.
- Single-database tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, Lusha) look up one index they own. Predictable cost per row, and the match rate is whatever their coverage of your market happens to be.
- Finder-verifiers (Hunter, Prospeo, Findymail, Dropcontact) work out the email pattern for the domain and test it live. Cheapest per email, best accuracy, almost no phones.
HubSpot's Breeze Intelligence is a fourth case: a single database that runs inside the CRM, priced in credits rather than seats. B2B data enrichment tools in the waterfall group often use the other three groups as their sources, which is why the match-rate table later on looks the way it does.

None of the 11 rows is ours. Getcleed is not an enrichment tool, and it appears once, in the section on what enrichment cannot tell you.
How We Compared These Data Enrichment Tools
Five criteria, all checkable:
- Match rate, meaning the share of input rows that come back with a usable email, from a test not run by the vendor measured, where one exists.
- Accuracy, meaning the share of returned emails that do not bounce. Reported separately from match rate, always.
- Price on the day, including what a mobile number costs in credits and whether unused credits expire.
- Freshness, meaning whether the tool does anything after the first pass to catch the 2.1% of records that go stale each month.
- The model, because a waterfall and a single database answer different buyer questions.
Two biases to state. First, two of the three test datasets below were run by vendors who ranked themselves first, so we quote their results for other tools and ignore their results for themselves. Second, we sell a signal layer that reads a list after enrichment, so we have an interest in you believing enrichment is not the last step. We make that case in its own section and nowhere else.
Waterfall Data Enrichment Tools
A waterfall asks provider one for an email, and if it misses, asks provider two, and so on down the list. Match rates climb. So does the bill, because a cascade can charge for several attempts on the same row.
Clay
Price. Free with 100 credits a month. Launch from $167 a month, or $54 a month on annual, a gap larger than the 10% discount Clay states, so check which number your invoice shows. Growth from $446 a month, or $185 annual. Per account, not per seat.
Match rate. Clay does not publish one, because the answer depends on which of its 150+ providers you put in the cascade. In CUFinder's 5,000-record test Clay returned 90% email accuracy. SyncGTM's FullEnrich review puts Clay at a 75% to 90% hit rate on US enterprise contacts "via provider routing".
Trade-off. Data credits sit on top of the plan, and the person who built the table is the only one who can change it. If that person leaves, the enrichment stops. We wrote a comparison of Getcleed and Clay on exactly this point, and the Clay alternatives page for teams without a builder.
FullEnrich
Price. Pro at $55 a month for 1,000 credits, which is $0.055 a credit. A work email costs one credit, a personal email three, a mobile ten. Credits roll over for three months on monthly billing and 12 on annual. Free trial with 50 credits, no card.
Match rate. FullEnrich claims an email find rate "around 80%" across 13 email sources and 18 mobile sources. The SyncGTM review, updated 30 September 2026, breaks that down by market: US enterprise 75% to 85% email and 45% to 60% mobile, US mid-market 65% to 75% and 35% to 48%, EU and UK enterprise 70% to 80%, APAC 50% to 60%, LATAM 50% to 58%.
Trade-off. A mobile costs about $0.55, so a 1,000-row list with phones on every hit runs past $500. The regional spread is the number to read: if you sell into APAC, a waterfall of US-centric providers does not rescue you.
Surfe
Price. Free with 20 emails and five mobiles a month. Essential at $49 a user a month, or $39 annual, for 150 emails and 50 mobiles. Pro at $89, or $79 annual, for 1,000 emails and 100 mobiles, with Salesloft, Outreach and lemlist integrations. Enterprise on quote with API and SSO.
Match rate. Surfe publishes no rate. It says it performs over a million enrichments a month across 15+ providers.
Trade-off. Surfe is built to enrich from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator page straight into the CRM, one profile or one search page at a time. For bulk CSV enrichment it is the wrong shape. Mobile credits are a separate, small pool, so the Pro plan's 100 mobiles run out in a week for a rep who calls.
Theo, a solo founder in Denver, had 2,000 rows from a conference list in March 2026. Apollo found emails for 62% of them, and 9% of those bounced, so he had about 1,130 deliverable addresses. He ran the 760 misses through FullEnrich's $55 plan and recovered 420 of them, taking the list to 84% deliverable for one extra month of subscription. The second pass cost him less than the conference ticket.
Single-Database Data Enrichment Tools
One index, one lookup, one price per row. Cost is predictable. Match rate is whatever the vendor's coverage of your market happens to be, and the independent tests below show how much that varies.
Apollo.io
Price. Free with 900 credits a year and unlimited email addresses. Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per user a month on annual, or $59, $99 and $149 monthly. A phone reveal costs about eight credits.
Match rate. In Cleanlist's March 2026 test of 1,000 leads across five verticals, Apollo matched 78% of emails and 41% of mobiles. CUFinder measured 89% email accuracy on the emails it returned. Put those together and Apollo gives you roughly 69 deliverable emails per 100 names.
Trade-off. Apollo is three tools in one, and for a team under 20 that is the right buy. The enrichment layer alone is not its strength. The small-team Apollo alternatives page covers the credit model, and the best Apollo alternatives page covers teams that have outgrown it.
ZoomInfo
Price. No list price. Vendr's median across 1,576 purchases is $33,500 a year, with a three-seat minimum and a 60 to 90 day notice window on renewal. Enrich is an add-on module on top of the database licence.
Match rate. The best in both independent tests: 84% email and 67% mobile in Cleanlist's 1,000-lead run, and 94% email accuracy in CUFinder's 5,000-record test. ZoomInfo says 300+ human researchers verify the data continuously, with no published cadence.
Trade-off. The price. If you only need enrichment, the contract pays for a database, an intent module and a workflow layer you may never open. The ZoomInfo alternatives page maps each module to the cheaper tool that replaces it.
Lusha
Price. Free with 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90, Professional $69.90, Premium $399.90 a month, or $449.10, $629.10 and $3,599.10 on annual. A phone costs five credits, the lowest multiplier on this page.
Match rate. Lusha's own July 2026 test of 322 US contacts reported 98% email and 86% phone accuracy. CUFinder's independent run put Lusha's email accuracy at 81%, the lowest of the paid single-source tools it tested. Treat the vendor figure as a ceiling.
Trade-off. Lusha is the best extension and the weakest bulk enricher in this group. It belongs to a rep who prospects one profile at a time, not to an ops person with a CSV.
Email Enrichment Tools: Finders and Verifiers
Email enrichment tools work out the email pattern for a domain, generate the address and test it against the mail server. The result is the highest accuracy per email on the page and the lowest price per row. Phones are an afterthought or absent.
Hunter.io
Price. Free with 25 searches a month. Starter $49 for 2,000 credits, Growth $149 for 10,000, Scale $299 for 25,000, with 30% off on annual, which takes Starter to $34. Unlimited users on every plan, which no other tool here offers.
Match rate. CUFinder measured 93% email accuracy for Hunter, the highest of any single-source tool in its test and one point behind ZoomInfo. Hunter does not publish a match rate; domain search returns everything it has on the company, so coverage depends on how public the company's email patterns are.
Trade-off. No phones, at all. For an email-only sequence, Hunter at $34 a month for the whole team is the cheapest correct answer in this guide.
Prospeo
Price. Free with 100 credits a month, a 25-row selection limit and no CSV enrichment. Starter $49 a month, or $37 annual, for 2,000 credits. Growth $99, or $74, for 5,000. Pro $249, or $187, for 15,000. An email is one credit, a mobile ten, and a miss costs nothing. Prospeo's own pricing page loads without text, so those figures come from a third-party guide updated 1 October 2026.
Match rate. Vendor-stated: 98% email accuracy and a 92% match rate on the API. No independent test we could find.
Trade-off. Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle according to Prospeo's help centre, which contradicts the rollover language on its pricing page. Buy the plan that matches a month's actual volume, not the one with the best per-credit price.
Findymail
Price. Starter at $99 a month for 5,000 finder credits and 5,000 verifier credits, with two months free on annual. One credit per email, ten per phone, and credits roll over up to twice the monthly allowance. Free trial with 10 credits. CRM Datacare, a continuous CRM-cleaning service, starts at $500 a month on annual.
Match rate. Findymail guarantees a bounce rate under 5% and charges only for verified results. It says Clay ranks it first for email finding and verification among Clay's providers.
Trade-off. $99 is the only entry price, so a rep sending 300 emails a month is overpaying. The product earns the price for a team sending 3,000.
Dropcontact
Price. Starter EUR 79 a month for 500 credits, or 6,000 a year on annual. Growth EUR 120 a month adds credit carry-over, LinkedIn enrichment, job-title cleaning and company-change detection. Enterprise from 200,000 credits a month. 20% off annual. Pay on success.
Match rate. Dropcontact claims 99% validity on a 20,000-contact benchmark it ran itself. It stores no database; every email is generated and tested at request time, which is also why its GDPR position is cleaner than any database vendor's.
Trade-off. Email only, EU-shaped, and 500 credits for EUR 79 is the most expensive per-email price on the page. You pay for the compliance, and for some teams that is the whole point.
Ines runs RevOps at a 40-person SaaS company in Lyon. In January 2026 her DPO flagged the US database they used because it could not say where its French contacts came from. She moved email enrichment to Dropcontact's Growth plan in February. Match rate on French mid-market contacts held at 81%, three points above the old vendor, and the company-change flag caught 112 contacts who had moved jobs before the Q2 campaign went out.
CRM-Native Enrichment: HubSpot Breeze Intelligence
Price. Breeze Intelligence, the former Clearbit, runs on HubSpot Credits since June 2025. HubSpot's credits page sets the overage at $0.010 per credit in 10-credit increments. Third-party summaries report capacity packs at $10 per 1,000 credits a month, included allowances of about 500 credits on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise, standard enrichment included on paid Hubs, and buyer-intent lookups at 10 credits each. HubSpot's Products and Services Catalog is the document to read before you budget.
Match rate. The Clearbit-era figures Cleanlist relays are 85% to 92% on email and about 15% on phone. Nothing independent since the HubSpot migration.
Trade-off. It only enriches HubSpot records, so a list has to be in the CRM before it can be filled. For a HubSpot shop that never exports, that is a feature. For anyone else it is the reason to pick a tool above.
Data Enrichment Match Rates: What the Tests Show
There is no neutral 2026 test that ran all 11 data enrichment tools on one file. There are two multi-tool tests and one vendor-by-region breakdown, each with a bias stated here.
| Test | Who ran it | Sample | Results for other vendors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cleanlist, March 2026 | A competing enrichment vendor | 1,000 leads, five verticals, 70% US | Email match: ZoomInfo 84%, Apollo 78%. Mobile: 67% vs 41% |
| CUFinder, early 2026 | A competing enrichment vendor, ranked itself first | 5,000 CRM records: 40% NA, 30% EMEA, 20% APAC, 10% LATAM | Email accuracy: ZoomInfo 94%, Hunter 93%, UpLead 92%, Cognism 91%, Clay 90%, Apollo 89%, Lusha 81% |
| SyncGTM, updated 30 Sep 2026 | A consultancy reviewing FullEnrich | No sample size given | US enterprise email hit rate: Clay 75-90%, FullEnrich 70-85%, Apollo 60-75% |
Three things hold across all of them.
Match rate and accuracy move in opposite directions. The finder-verifiers post the best accuracy because they test every address before returning it, and they return fewer addresses. The waterfalls post the best match rate because they keep asking, and the extra hits come from the least reliable providers at the bottom of the cascade. Verify a waterfall's output before you send.
Geography beats vendor. The spread between tools on US enterprise contacts is about 15 points. The spread between US enterprise and APAC on the same tool is 25 points. Before you compare vendors, check what share of your list sits outside North America and Western Europe.
Every tool loses rows to the verifier. The data-providers hub found that 13% to 22% of a fresh export fails verification before a single email goes out, whichever vendor supplied it. Budget for it.
Want to see what the verified rows are actually worth? Export the enriched list and run a free signal check on it. The result is the share of your contacts who showed a buying signal in the last 30 days, which is a different number from the share with a working email.
Freshness: Which Lead Enrichment Tools Fight Decay
About 2.1% of B2B contact data goes stale every month, and roughly two in three job titles change within a year. A list enriched in January is a third wrong by December, and CRM decay costs about 12% of annual revenue once you count the deals that went to the wrong person.
Eight of the 11 data enrichment tools here do nothing after the first pass, which is the same thing a lead enrichment tool's sales page will never mention. Three do something:
- HubSpot Breeze Intelligence re-enriches the record in place as its database updates, which is the one structural advantage of living inside the CRM.
- Findymail CRM Datacare runs continuous verification and re-finding across HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close, Copper and Zoho, from $500 a month, with a two-week setup.
- Dropcontact Growth flags company changes on contacts you have already enriched, so the job-change signal reaches you before the bounce does.
For everyone else, freshness is a process: re-run the enriched columns every 90 days and re-verify before every campaign. Clay users can schedule the table to re-run, which is the closest a waterfall tool comes to a freshness feature.
What Data Enrichment Tools Cannot Tell You
Every one of the data enrichment tools on this page answers the same question: what is this person's email and phone? None of them answers the next one: is this person buying anything this quarter?
A correct email for someone who is not in-market is still a cold email. The 95-5 rule says about 5% of any list is in-market at a given time. A perfect enrichment pass gives you 95 deliverable addresses for 95 people who are not ready, and most teams send to all of them.
This is where a signal layer sits, and it is the one place Getcleed belongs in this guide. It is not a database and does not find emails. You import the list your enrichment tool produced, by CSV, Sales Navigator list, HubSpot sync or LinkedIn post engagers, and it reads each person's public LinkedIn activity for buying signals: a job change, engagement with a competitor, a post about the pain you solve, a hiring announcement. Each contact gets a 0 to 100 relevance score across 11+ signal types plus any custom signal you define, re-scored nightly, with a hook written from the signal. The price is $99 a month on annual or $129 monthly, flat, for 1,000 contacts analyzed, with a seven-day trial.
What it cannot do is any of the jobs above. If the email is wrong, Getcleed does not fix it. Enrich first, then score, then send to the top of the list. Intent data providers do a related job at the company level, which is the right layer for an account-based team.
A five-rep team at an Austin fintech had a list that was 94% deliverable after a Clay waterfall and a Findymail verification pass in April 2026. Reply rate across 6,200 sends in May was 0.6%. In June they scored the same list and sent only to contacts above 75, which was 11% of it. Reply rate on 680 sends was 5.1%, and meetings booked went from 14 to 19. The enrichment had been right all along. The list had not.
Data Enrichment Tools FAQ
What are the best data enrichment tools in 2026?
Clay or FullEnrich for the highest match rate through a waterfall, Apollo for a database with enrichment built in under 20 seats, ZoomInfo for the best phone coverage on contract, Hunter for the cheapest accurate email enrichment, Dropcontact for EU compliance, and HubSpot Breeze Intelligence if the list never leaves HubSpot. The best data enrichment tools are the ones whose coverage matches your geography, so test on your own list before you buy.
What is the difference between match rate and accuracy?
Match rate is the share of your input rows that come back with an email. Accuracy is the share of those emails that do not bounce. A tool can score 98% on accuracy by returning only the addresses it is sure of, and still leave half your list empty. Multiply the two to get deliverable emails per 100 names, which is the only number that predicts replies.
How much does a phone number cost in data enrichment tools?
Five credits on Lusha, about eight on Apollo, and ten on FullEnrich, Prospeo and Findymail. At FullEnrich's $0.055 a credit, that is about $0.55 a mobile. Hunter and Dropcontact do not sell phones. ZoomInfo sells them inside a contract with a $33,500 median.
Are there free data enrichment tools?
Yes, for small volumes. Apollo gives 900 credits a year, Lusha 40 a month, Hunter 25 searches a month, Prospeo 100 credits a month, Clay 100 credits a month, Surfe 20 emails and five mobiles a month, and FullEnrich 50 credits to start. None of the free tiers covers a 1,000-row list.
Is waterfall enrichment worth the extra cost?
For lists where single-source match falls below about 70%, yes. The second provider in a cascade typically recovers a third to a half of the misses, which is what took Theo's list from 62% to 84%. For a list the first provider already covers at 85% or better, the cascade adds cost and a few low-confidence hits that the verifier will strip anyway.
Do data enrichment tools tell you who is ready to buy?
No. They tell you how to reach a person, not whether to. Timing comes from a signal layer, such as Getcleed on LinkedIn activity or an intent provider at the company level, applied after enrichment. The prospecting list guide covers the order: build, enrich, score, send.
The Bottom Line
- Data enrichment tools work three ways: waterfall, single database, or finder-verifier. Pick the model before the vendor.
- Read match rate and accuracy as two numbers. ZoomInfo leads both in the independent tests, at a $33,500 median. Hunter leads accuracy among tools under $50, with no phones. Clay and FullEnrich lead match rate, from $55.
- A mobile costs 5 to 10 credits everywhere. Price the list you actually have, with the share of phones you actually need, before comparing plans.
- Geography moves match rate more than vendor choice does. Check your list's regional mix first.
- Only Breeze, Findymail's Datacare and Dropcontact Growth do anything about decay. For the rest, re-verify every 90 days.
- Enrichment ends at a working email. It does not tell you who is buying.
Take the list your enrichment tool just finished and run a free signal check on it. You will see which contacts showed a buying signal this month, and that is the list to send to, however good the data enrichment tools behind it were.
